Wind Turbines Erection at the Lake Turkana Wind Power Farm

As part of the Vestas contract in Lake Turkana Wind Power Project, SECO had been contracted by Anipsotiki SA, a well-known company with vast experience in erecting wind turbines all around the world, to erect 365 wind mill turbines.

SECO successfully completed the erection of the last wind mill turbine well ahead of schedule, overcoming the challenges that had been occasioned by the unpredictable wind behavior and with zero reported HSE incidents.

Once Lake Turkana Wind Power project is fully operational, it will add 310 MW of reliable, low cost energy to Kenya’s grid.
