Vertical compression load test (static load test) using the Kentledge Method

Vertical compression load test (static load test) using the Kentledge Method on Bored Cast In-situ (BCIS) piles at our client’s site in Vipingo, Mombasa.

The Kentledge method involves the construction of a platform upon which weights are placed. These weights bear down on the piles putting it under load, the gauges then measure resistance, movement of the pile and other readings to determine the design load of the piles. BCIS Piles details: Diameter: 600 mm dia, Length: 12.00 m, Design Load: 150 MT, Test Load: 300 MT.
