On Friday 19th July 2019, H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta officially inaugurated Africa’s largest wind farm, Lake Turkana Wind Power.
The wind farm, which is the largest in Africa, has a total of 365 wind turbines that produce a combined power output of 310 MW. The plant has been connected to the National grid through the 400kv double circuit Loiyangalani-Suswa transmission line.
