We received a delegation of 60 engineers from all around Africa who paid us a courtesy visit at our shipyard in Mombasa, on the sidelines of the 5th Africa Engineering Week and the 3rd Africa Engineering Conference being held at the Pride Inn Paradise Beach Resort, Kenya.
The conference whose main theme was “Harnessing the Blue Economy for Accelerated Economic Growth” was organized by the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) in collaboration with the Federation of African Engineering Organizations (FAEO), the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), provided a platform for Engineers and Participants to discuss the benefits and challenges relating to the Blue Economy in order to generate effective and sustainable solutions for the African continent.
